Action
Wound, Scar and Keloid: Most skin injuries can cause scars and keloids. In response to the damage, the body attempts to repair the wound in four major phases: inflammatory, proliferative, contraction, and remodeling. Unfortunately, this process of healing gives rise to scars. Typically, scars lack hair follicles and sweat glands, are less elastic than original skin and tend to be lighter in color. Scars may be classified as Hypertrophic (raised scar within the boundaries of the original wound), Keloid (raised scar that tends to extend beyond the boundaries of the original wound), and Hypotrophic (scar may be depressed and hyperpigmented).
Scars develop due to the proliferation of fibroblasts in the wound. Fibroblasts are specialized cells that produce collagen, which then fills and closes the wound. Scars differ from normal skin in the amount of collagen they contain and the way in which these collagen fibrils are arranged. In normal skin, the collagen fibrils are organized, with most running in the direction of the crease lines of the skin and a much smaller number running perpendicular to this, but in scars, the collagen is disorganized.
Hiruscar: Allium cepa with MPS for scar and keloid care: Hiruscar is effective in all phases of the natural healing process. It can protect against the proliferation of scars and keloids by inhibiting the proliferation of fibroblast cells. Hiruscar is effective on both existing scars and new scars. The synergistic action of Allium Cepa with higher concentration of quercetin and Mucopolysaccharide polysulphate (MPS) has been clinically proven effective for scar and keloid care.
Hiruscar Gel for scar and keloid care is a topical gel formulated to help scars appear softer, smoother and less visible. Hiruscar hydrates the scar tissue and promotes the normal skin healing process and inhibits fibroblast proliferation. Hiruscar is completely absorbed by the skin, does not leave behind a residue, has a pleasant smell and is greaseless. Hiruscar is convenient to use and affordable.
Function of active ingredients in Hiruscar: See Table 2.
